New nanotechnology cementitious products

Originally the term "nanotechnology" described a branch of the material sciences which studied and prepared materials with sub microscopic dimensions, i.e. materials measuring one thousand millionth of a metre. In this case materials are studied at on the atomic or molecular scale. Reducing the size of a material to nano dimensions has the effect of changing and improving the characteristics of a material in comparison with its characteristics at larger sizes even though the material might be composed of the same substances. Today the term is used to describe the characteristics of materials whose dimensions, even though they might not be nanometric, significantly alter product properties.
