Substrate preparation
Substrate preparation is essential; therefore, the surface to be treated must be free from any contaminants, dry, sound, and have a tensile strength of at least 1.5 MPa. In all cases, the surface must be prepared by high-pressure washing, sandblasting or sanding, depending on the condition of the surface. Any water from washing or weather conditions must be removed or dried using appropriate methods.
Primer
Concrete surfaces must be levelled to the required thickness using a repair mortar or a levelling compound such as Restauro Finitura. In the case of absorbent surfaces, Epox Grip must be applied to seal and regulate the substrate’s absorbency.
Product preparation
Ready-to-use single-component product. Mix thoroughly before use and dilute with 1–5% water if necessary.
Application
Polyurea Finish can be applied either by roller or airless spray. The product can be applied directly to concrete.
When kept in its original sealed packaging, stored in a dry, sheltered place at a temperature between +5 °C and +35 °C, the product has a shelf life of 6 months. Keep away from frost.
Only apply Polyurea Finish if the surface temperature is at least 3 °C higher than the dew point.
