Substrate preparation
Concrete surfaces and new cementitious plaster
:
Clean thoroughly, removing all traces of dust, dirt, release agents and loose parts. Check that the wall is perfectly dry and cured and apply a coat of ready-to-use solvent-based, uniforming and consolidating fixative and wait 24 hours.

Concrete surfaces and cementitious plasters already painted or partially deteriorated:
Remove all traces of loose paint and efflorescence, if any; if mould is present, a treatment with an anti-mould solution must be carried out. Thoroughly clean off dust and dirt, check that the wall is perfectly dry. If repair work is necessary it must be carried out with a concrete restoration and protection cycle; wait for the restoration work to cure properly before continuing with the cycle. Apply one coat of consolidating fixative over the entire surface and wait 24 hours.

Practical tips

  • Apply a single lot on the same façade or request batch continuation;
  • In the case of very large surfaces, provide appropriate interruptions near downpipes or technical joints;
  • Protect the finish with tarpaulins from rain, frost, dew and dust for at least 48 hours (until completely dry);
  • Store the product in its original packaging at a temperature between +5°C and +35°C;
  • Avoid application in direct sunlight, or particularly windy days;

Rainwater resistance
The product completes the drying and curing process within 8÷10 days under optimal environmental conditions (+5°C / +35°C; R.H. max. 75%). If the product, during this period of time undergoes runoff from rainwater, it could result in unsightly drippings with a translucent and sticky appearance. This phenomenon, which is temporary in nature, does not affect the quality characteristics of the product and can be easily eliminated by hydro-washing or by waiting for the next rainy event.

Known Incompatibilities

None.
For any use other than that stated in this data sheet, contact our Technical Service Department.

Tools cleaning
Clean the tools with water immediately after use.

Safety precautions

  • Close the can immediately after use;
  • Keep tightly closed, undiluted, away from heat sources, away from frost and direct sunlight;
  • Safety information for the user is contained in the relevant safety data sheet;
  • Empty containers or those with slight traces of dried residual product film must be disposed of according to local regulations;

Storage

In the closed original packaging it is stable for at least 24 months. In any case the instructions in the technical data sheet must be carefully followed for a correct use of the material. PROTECT FROM FROST.

Warnings

  • Do not apply on sunny walls or with ambient or substrate temperature conditions that may fall below +5°C or above +35°C in the first 24 hours after application; relative humidity must not exceed 75%;
  • Apply on homogeneous substrates, complete the facade-wall without stopping, avoid recoating material that is already dry;
  • New plaster must be left to cure for at least 4÷6 weeks to complete the natural carbonation process. Even brand new patches must be left to cure perfectly;
  • Protect the façade with tarpaulins after application from adverse weather conditions and dust for at least 48 hours
