Substrate preparation
Concrete surfaces and new cementitious plaster:
Clean thoroughly, removing all traces of dust, dirt, release agents and loose parts. Check that the wall is perfectly dry and cured and apply a coat of ready-to-use solvent-based, uniforming and consolidating fixative and wait 24 hours.
Concrete surfaces and cementitious plasters already painted or partially deteriorated:
Remove all traces of loose paint and efflorescence, if any; if mould is present, a treatment with an anti-mould solution must be carried out. Thoroughly clean off dust and dirt, check that the wall is perfectly dry. If repair work is necessary it must be carried out with a concrete restoration and protection cycle; wait for the restoration work to cure properly before continuing with the cycle. Apply one coat of consolidating fixative over the entire surface and wait 24 hours.
Practical tips
Rainwater resistance
The product completes the drying and curing process within 8÷10 days under optimal environmental conditions (+5°C / +35°C; R.H. max. 75%). If the product, during this period of time undergoes runoff from rainwater, it could result in unsightly drippings with a translucent and sticky appearance. This phenomenon, which is temporary in nature, does not affect the quality characteristics of the product and can be easily eliminated by hydro-washing or by waiting for the next rainy event.
Known Incompatibilities
None.
