Methacrylate-based two-component structural adhesive. Sitol Meta 45 is designed for structural bonding of a wide range of different substrates including metals, plastics and composite materials for all industrial applications. The properties of Sitol Meta 45 enable structural bonding while maintaining flexibility, strength and fatigue. It also has excellent vertical and ceiling application properties. The properties of the methacrylate-based structure ensure that the product performs extremely well in terms of mechanical strength and flexibility. Sitol Meta 45 has a high resistance to aggressive environments and extreme conditions. It shows unprecedented results in the face of weathering and ageing.
The surfaces must be free of grease, contamination and processing residues.
Metal surfaces should be thoroughly prepared by removing all traces of loose oxides.
Most plastics require simple cleaning before bonding; some may require light sanding to improve adhesion to the bonded surface.
Optimum product qualities are ideally obtained at room temperature between +18°C and +28°C without post-curing.
Contact your Torggler representative for any information regarding the product, method of use and dispensing equipment.
The shelf life of Sitol Meta 45 is 24 months in the original unopened packaging. The product can be stored in a closed container in a dry place at a temperature between +15°C and +25°C. Exposure to higher or lower temperatures will result in a reduction of the stated shelf life.
The adhesive contains methacrylate monomers and is flammable.
Materials should be stored in a cool place and away from heat sources.
During polymerisation, the chemical reaction causes a typical odour; use the product in a well-ventilated area.
When the two components are mixed during application, an exothermic reaction is generated that can generate heat. The amount of heat is dependent on the mass and thickness of the mixed product.
Read the material safety data sheet before handling or use.
