Details

BU Tape is a self-adhesive reinforcement tape with 100 mm height and 15 m length, consisting of a butyl rubber compound coated on a polypropylene coat, designed to have an effective adhesion on materials such as marble, plasterboard and concrete and to provide a finished, rough and absorbent surface. BU Tape is “easy peel”, i.e. the edges of the silicone film present exceed the width of the adhesive by a few millimetres, facilitating the peeling operation. Thanks to its manoeuvrability, plasticity and deformability, it can be used even in tight and difficult to reach spaces. BU Tape is compatible with Torggler cementitious waterproofers such as Flex 1K, Flex 2K and Flexistar and the Aquatech liquid waterproofing sheath. BU Tape is certified as EC 1 Plus in terms of very low emissions of volatile organic compounds.

Instructions for use

Preparation for use
The surfaces to be treated must be clean, degreased, in good condition and free from impurities.

Instructions for application
Unroll the product in the desired length by calculating the minimum overlap to the corner reinforcement fabric of 5 cm.  Remove the silicon protective film and position the tape by pressing with a roller or cloth swab. Then bury BU Tape in the cementitious waterproofing agent or in the liquid waterproofing sheath indicated.

Storage

BU Tape must be stored in a dry, sheltered place, away from direct sunlight, at a temperature between +5 °C and +40 °C. The performance characteristics of the product remain unchanged for a very long period. However, use within 24 months from the purchase is recommended.

Warnings

  • Store the product at temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. Temperatures above +28 °C can already cause difficulties in peeling off the protective film.
  • Protect from exposure to UV rays.
