Sitol A
Bituminous, waterproofing and anti-corrosion paint.

Sitol A is a ready-to-use black paint based on special bitumens with high resistance to ageing, dissolved in solvents. It can be applied by brush or spray. It dries quickly, forming an elastic, resistant, non-sticky film with a high softening point and high adhesion. It effectively protects cementitious and metallic substrates from atmospheric agents, water, industrial gases, saline solutions and humic acids in the subsoil, which attack and corrode buried elements. Sitol A is not resistant to solvents, oils and fuels.
Ensure that any loose, brittle or non-adherent parts, paint, rust, dust and degreasing oils are removed and thoroughly clean the surfaces, which must be solid and dry. Avoid application in weather conditions that could adversely affect the correct drying of the product. Apply at temperatures between 0°C and +35°C; avoid extreme heat and cold during application and drying of the film. Application can be carried out with a brush, scrub brush, roller or spray. Equipment can be washed with the most common synthetic or nitro thinners.
If stored in a dry, cool environment in its original sealed packaging, the product will keep for at least 24 months.
When applying hot polymer-bitumen membranes using a flame, the use of primer is recommended only if the concrete surfaces are completely dry. Otherwise, it is advisable to use a bituminous primer specifically designed for damp surfaces. Before covering, check that the product is completely dry. Ensure that cracks and ventilation systems are closed before application. Do not use inside residential buildings or in unventilated areas. Do not use to waterproof surfaces or containers intended to hold edible liquids, drinking water or that come into contact with solvents or mineral oils. Do not expose the material to direct sunlight or temperatures above 30°C. Flammable product. Do not expose to temperatures above 30°C, direct sunlight, heat sources, open flames or other sources of ignition. Follow the information on the safety data sheet.

* Values recorded at a temperature of 23°C and humidity of 50%. The data provided may vary depending on the thickness of the product applied and the specific conditions on site: temperature, humidity, ventilation, absorbency of the substrate.
The approximate consumption of primer varies from 100 to 200 g/m², depending on the porosity of the substrate to which it is applied.
