Primer Aquatech

Primer Aquatech is a combination of solvent resins, which forms a highly adhesive and transparent film on critical substrates, such as old bituminous sheaths, metal substrates or crumbling cement surfaces. In this way it allows the application of water-based products, such as Aquatech on such materials. Apply a large amount in one coat, using a brush or roller

Instructions for use

Substrates must be sufficiently cohesive, free from brittle parts and dry. It is recommended to thoroughly clean the substrate before application. Primer Aquatech is ready to use and should not be diluted, therefore apply a large amount in one coat, by brush or roller, 100 to 300 ml/m², depending on the substrate. The use of the airless pump is not recommended.

Storage

Primer Aquatech is stable for at least 24 months if stored in the original packaging in a cool and sheltered place (at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C).

Warnings

• Old bituminous coverings or non-porous metal substrates must be pre-treated with Primer Aquatech.
• Primer Aquatech does not contain anti-corrosive additives. Its purpose is to ensure adhesion. However, since it forms a continuous film, it still protects the metal substrate from the action of the water contained in the subsequent treatment (flash rusting). If a metal substrate requires long-term corrosion protection, a specific primer should be provided.
• Do not apply on bituminous sheaths installed from less than 2 years.
• It is not recommended to use an airless pump to apply Primer Aquatech.
• Consult the safety data sheet before using the product.

NOTE:
It should be remembered that when used as protection and waterproofing of all types of vertical elements. Depending on exposure, Aquatech may be subject to slight surface colour changes, which do not compromise the waterproofing and protective properties of the dried layer.
