Marble & Stone It is a neutral, low-modulus silicone sealant formulated for use on marble and natural stone, as it prevents the formation of unsightly marks caused by the organic plasticisers contained in conventional silicone sealants. Thanks to its exceptional resistance to UV rays, weathering and ageing, its excellent adhesive properties and the high elasticity resulting from its low elastic modulus, Marble & Stone can be advantageously used as a joint sealant both indoors and outdoors in any setting. It is also used in glazing and healthcare settings as it is mould-resistant. During curing, no acidic or basic substances are produced that could corrode metal substrates. Marble & Stone is classified as a non-structural sealant for façade elements (F-EXT/INT in accordance with EN 15651-1), for glazing (G according to EN 15651-2) and for healthcare applications (XS1 according to EN 15651-3). The product is certified as EC1 by GEV for its very low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
Joint dimensions:
Minimum width = 6 mm.
For widths up to 10 mm, the depth must be equal to the width of the joint and, in any case, not less than 6 mm.
For widths between 10 and 20 mm, the depth must be at least 10 mm.
For widths exceeding 20 mm, the depth must be half the width.
Cleaning tools
While the sealant is still pliable, use solvents; once hardened, clean only mechanically.
When kept in its original, unopened packaging and stored in a cool, dry place, the product will remain in good condition for a period of at least 12 months. Partially used cartridges can be stored for around 3 months if kept tightly sealed.
Marble & Stone It is not suitable for structural bonding.
Marble & Stone does not adhere to Teflon, polyethylene or polypropylene, nor to damp surfaces.
Marble & Stone cannot be painted over.
