Bathroom with moderate exposure to humidity: Flexible mortar
Bathrooms without shower tray classified as W2-I or W3-I according to DIN 18534 are increasingly in vogue, both in existing buildings and in new constructions, so that they dictate the new design standard for contemporary bathrooms. This applies in particular to public showers in sports facilities or workplaces. Owners generally want the floor tiling to continue into the shower area. With this solution, water is drained exclusively through the tiles and therefore the underlying waterproofing layer, which can be created with a flexible mineral mortar, is of high importance.
