Acetic Professional It is an acetyl-curing silicone sealant. It cures very rapidly on reaction with ambient moisture and offers exceptional resistance to UV rays and weathering. The inclusion of an antimicrobial and anti-algal agent in the formulation makes it suitable for use in healthcare environments: the product withstands boiling water and cleaning with chemically aggressive detergents, thereby contributing to surface hygiene. Acetic Professional has superior ageing resistance to any other non-silicone resin-based sealant. Twenty years after application, no micro-cracks or signs of chalking are visible. It exhibits excellent adhesion even without a silicone primer on glass, porcelain or glazed surfaces, and adheres well to most non-porous substrates.
Acetic Professional complies with UNI 11673-1, “Installation of windows and doors – Part 1: design requirements and verification criteria”. Acetic Professional is classified as a non-structural sealant for façades (type F-EXT/INT-CC) in accordance with EN 15651-1, for glazing (type G-CC) in accordance with EN 15651-2 and for healthcare applications (type XS) in accordance with EN 15651-3.
Cleaning of tools
Whilst the sealant is still in its plastic state, use solvents; once hardened, clean only mechanically.
Acetic Professional silicone must be stored in a cool, dry place. Under these conditions, it has a shelf life of at least 24 months. Partially used cartridges can be stored for approximately 3 months if kept tightly sealed.

Its fast curing time and high adhesion make it suitable for sealing and static bonding of glass components in a variety of glass applications: windows, glazing, glass-block walls, profiled glass, glass mosaics, art objects, solar collectors and joints in bathrooms (baths, shower cubicles, washbasins), spa facilities and swimming pools. It is also suitable for the elastic sealing of joints between window frames and glass, and for repairing seals in cars. It is suitable for sealing hatches and deck fittings on boats, in caravans and in motorhomes. It is also used in domestic appliances.
