Areas not exposed to humidity

Areas with limited or no exposure to moisture are classified W0-I according to DIN 18534. For this type of application or stress, it is not necessary to use a waterproofing under the tile or natural stone to protect the substrate. When laying the top layer, however, the differences between non-problematic and sensitive coverings must be taken into account. Given the low problematic nature of tiles, the choice of laying adhesive for this type of caddeling depends largely on the size of the tile. In most cases, natural stone have much higher requirements. For example, for translucent or moisture-sensitive natural stone, quick-hardening white adhesive mortars are preferred. In addition, each grout must be matched to the respective tiles.
