Details

  • Mat appearance skim coat based on siloxane resins in water emulsion, pigments, selected particle size grits and specific additives;
  • Due to its strong water repellency, it hinders the penetration of rainwater while, at the same time, the microporous structure allows moisture in the wall to be disposed of externally in the form of vapour without damage to the coating itself;
  • It has excellent adhesion on all types of old or new lime, cement substrates and on old paint, provided they have been properly consolidated;
  • Particularly suitable for industrial environments and marine climates;
  • Its characteristics make it suitable, when applied in two coats, for use as a finishing coating on thermal insulation systems;
  • It contains special film preservatives, which give the coating preventive protection against the formation of algae and fungi;
  • Product complying with DIN 18558;
  • White and colours can be achieved with the tintometric system;

  • Plastic plastering trowel for finishing;

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
New, cured, homogeneous, civil-finished wall surfaces:
Clean thoroughly, removing all traces of dust. Check that the wall is perfectly dry and apply a coat of hydrophobising acrylsiloxane fixative and wait 24 hours.

Cementitious, cement-lime mortar wall surfaces, already coated or partially deteriorated:
– Old paint: remove all traces of dirt, loose parts and efflorescence, if any;
– Old coatings: remove paint with paint stripper and wash the surface with high-pressure cleaner. If mould is present, a treatment with an anti-mould solution must be carried out. Carry out grouting, if necessary, up to 5 mm with skim plaster, after consolidating the part with solvent fixative (and allow to cure for at least 7-10 days. Greater thickness must be treated with materials compatible with the existing plaster and allowed to cure. Check that the wall is perfectly dry. In the case of extensive unevenness, level the entire surface with smoothing compound and allow to cure. Apply a hydrophobising acrylsiloxane fixative and wait 24 hours.

Wall surfaces with thermal insulation system:
After the layer of reinforced skim coat has cured, proceed with the application of a coat of hydrophobising acrylsiloxane fixative or eTics Primer VIP pigmented primer. Known Incompatibilities None. For any use other than that stated in this data sheet, contact our Technical Service.

Tools cleaning
Clean the tools with water immediately after use.

Rainwater resistance
The product completes the drying and curing processes within 8÷10 days under optimal environmental conditions (5÷30°C; R.H. max. 75%). If the product, during this period of time undergoes runoff from rainwater, it could result in unsightly drippings with a translucent and sticky appearance. This phenomenon, which is temporary in nature, does not affect the quality characteristics of the product and can be easily eliminated by hydro-washing or by waiting for the next rainy event.

Safety precautions

  • Keep the can tightly closed and frost-free;
  • Safety information for the user is contained in the relevant safety data sheet;
  • Empty containers or containers with slight traces of dried residual product film must be disposed of according to local regulations;

Warnings

  • Do not apply on sunny walls or with ambient or substrate temperature conditions that may fall below + 5°C or above +35°C in the first 24 hours after application; relative humidity must not exceed 75%;
  • Apply on homogeneous and flat substrates, complete the façade-wall without stopping, avoid recoating material that is already dry; in the case of very large surfaces, provide suitable interruptions near to downpipes or technical joints, if any;
  • Protect the façade with tarpaulins after application from adverse weather conditions and dust for at least 48 hours;
  • Applicable on substrates with rising damp, only after a dehumidifying treatment;
  • New plaster must be left to cure for at least 4÷6 weeks, until the end of the carbonation process, the same will happen for the patching carried out, if any;
  • Store the product in its original packaging at a temperature between +5°C and +35°C;
  • Apply a single lot on the same façade or request a continuation of batch;
