Details

Heat Resistant is a silicone sealant with acetic-crosslinking, characterised by very high resistance to heat. Up to temperatures of 300°C the elasticity of Heat Resistant is not affected, the seal remains perfect and has exceptional resistance to aging. Applications more than 20 years old, even when subjected to ultraviolet rays and atmospheric agents, show no signs of flaking and are absolutely free of surface hairline cracks.

Instructions for use

  • The sides of the joint must be clean, degreased and dry.
  • Form two strips of sealant on the flange facade.
  • Join the two faces and bolt.
  • Extrude the sealant on the seams.
  • Seal the bolts.
  • Smooth off with a damp paint scraper.

Cleaning tools
While the sealant is in the plastic state use solvents; following setting clean only mechanically.

Storage

Heat Resistant must be stored in a cool, dry place. Stored in these conditions the product will keep for at least 18 months. Partly used cartridges can be stored for approx. 3 months provided they are tightly closed.

Warnings

The non-vulcanised mass irritates the eyes.
