Application areas

- PP tape for flexible sealing of joints and connections in combination with liquid waterproofing and membranes.
- For indoor and outdoor use for wall and floor coverings.
- For wet areas with non-pressurised water, such as showers or bathrooms, residential buildings, hotels, hospitals and nursing homes.
- For permanent areas with pressurised water, such as bathtubs and swimming pools.
- For water exposure classes W0-I, W1-I, W2-I, W3-I according to DIN 18534; DIN 18531-5 (balconies, terraces, etc.); DIN 18535 (swimming pools and bathtubs) with MPA Braunschweig test certificate.
- Suitable as sealing tape for joints in contact with soil, transverse seals inside and below walls in accordance with DIN 18533.
- For incorporation into Aquatech, Flex 2K or Flexistar liquid waterproofing compounds.

Instructions for use
Apply a layer of liquid waterproofing product such as Aquatech, Flex 2K or cementitious adhesives such as Tile 250 or Tile 480 to the sides of edges, joints or overlaps that need to be waterproofed with PP Tape, using a 3-4 mm notched trowel, ensuring that the tape adheres well to the substrate. Flex 2K or cementitious adhesives such as Tile 250 or Tile 480 using a 3-4 mm notched trowel, ensuring that the tape adheres well to the spread waterproofing, without creating folds or bubbles and taking care to allow the material to escape from the side perforations. Ensure that the adhesive mortar applied is approximately 10 mm wider than the PP Tape. The joints between the waterproofing accessories and/or PP Tape must overlap by at least 5 cm and be bonded with the chosen liquid waterproofing product or adhesive. Once the PP Tape has been applied to all the fittings, the chosen waterproofing system can be installed. This waterproofing material must be applied continuously over the PP Tape. All Torggler products suitable for use in accordance with standards are listed in the ‘Test Certificates’.
Storage
PP Tape has no expiry date, but to preserve its integrity and performance characteristics, it should be stored in a cool, dry and sheltered place. However, it is recommended that it be used within 24 months of purchase.
