Details

Emulsione Epossidica 723 is a protective, water-soluble, two-component epoxy resin paint. Its hardened film offers a high abrasion resistance and is completely odourless. Emulsione Epossidica 723 is a protective coating (type C) for the surfaces of concrete structures in conformity with EN 1504-2, which can be used according to the following principles of EN 1504-9: Protection against the risks of penetration (principle 1), moisture control (principle 2) and increased resistivity (principle 8).

Instructions for use

Preparation for use
The substrate must be solid, free of loose particles and cement dust, clean and regular.

Product preparation
Intimately mix the two pre-dosed components into their original containers for a few minutes then pour component B into component A until a perfectly homogeneous mass is obtained. The mixed product remains workable for approx. 60 minutes.

Instructions for use
Epoxy Emulsion 723 is applied by brush, roller or spray (airless) at temperatures above +10 °C.
It is recommended to apply at least three coats of not less than 150 g each, waiting for the time necessary for the water to evaporate (approx. 2 hours at 20 °C) between two subsequent coats.
The paint can be diluted for spray application. In this case add up to 10% water to component A and shake well. Then mix the 2 components. If used indoors provide for an adequate ventilation. The film applied must be protected in the first 6 hours from rain and accidental contact with water, so as to prevent re-emulsification and washing off.

Cleaning
The tools must be cleaned with water, preferably hot, as soon as the work is finished. If the application lasts many hours, it is recommended to roughly clean the brush, roller or gun every 2 hours. It is possible to repaint an old coating of Emulsione Epossidica 723 after sanding it.

Storage

When stored at a temperature between +15 °C and +30 °C in its original sealed packaging Emulsione Epossidica 723 is stable for at least 18 months. PROTECT FROM FROST.

Warnings

  • Application of Emulsione Epossidica 723 at temperatures above +10 °C is not recommended.
  • If stored for more than one day at temperatures below approx. +15 °C, component B may appear coagulated due to the effect of crystallisation of the epoxy resin it contains. This phenomenon does not constitute a defect and can be easily eliminated heating the affected containers to +40 °C overnight. The product must be stored at temperatures above + 15 °C.
